The pretty Pittie committee saves hundreds of puppies & dogs each year!
And we rely on families and individuals to help us keep them safe!
While we primarily focus on transports to our northern shelter or rescue friends,we still have dogs looking for new homes every day! And all the pups & dogs need a safe place to stay for whatever journey they are on!

TPPC foster program is so simple! Although there is no real pay, the reward of seeing your pet off to their furever home is priceless!
& we provide everything you!

◦ Puppy pads
◦ Leashes and collars
◦ All medical is covered
◦ Support and guidance

All you have to provide is a safe space for them! & of course cute pics & brief bios on your guest!
We have several programs that you can be involved in! Because without people like you, we cannot save as many animals as we do!

TRANSPORT FOSTER ( 2/3 week minimum ) - these dogs are committed to another rescue or adopter and are just waiting to get their medical vetting done so they can travel.

HEART-WORM TREATMENT FOSTER ( 3-4 Month minimum) - these dogs may or may not be committed to anywhere and we are searching for a furever home!
All the dogs going through heartworm treatment need low activity/ kennel rest and will need medication every day. And will need to be able to get to and from the vets office.

NO PLAN STAN - you ever seen a dog begging to get out of the shelter or off the street ( yeah! Us too.) so that’s a no plan Stan! We have no idea whats going to happen. Or what their plan is! But we do know they need a chance, and somewhere safe to stay!

Mom & Puppies ( new or soon to be moms ) require lots of tlc, a quiet room and about 6-10 weeks of your home! While we get the puppies ready for adoption, the mom will still need to wean and dry before she is altered to travel on her way! Sometimes this duration is short! Sometimes it’s a little longer depending on the situation.


All of our programs are voluntary, and we do provide everything you need to foster! We try our best to make sure that every dog gets the home they deserve!
And fostering is a great way to help animals with very little commitment! By helping our animals become social, you are learning things about them that is important and crucial for them finding the right home! It’s a win win! And besides! Who can resist dog kisses and puppy breath!
